Gurgaon: By paying attention to the upcoming celebration season and uptick in economic activities in the city, the Ministry of Health is looking to increase Covid-19 vaccination with a series of steps, such as establishing camps in Mandis, Post Office, office pensions, registry offices, banks and places worship.
Health officials will also call the Resident (RWAS) welfare association to check the status of vaccination.
“We have identified a total of 1,221 housing communities in Gurgaon.
Our team will call a population one by one every day to get their vaccination status and also establish a camp to give Jab,” said Gurgaon’s Gurgaon Virender Medical Officer Yadav.
He added that the Ministry of Health will also focus on banks and post offices because they are often visited by senior citizens.
“We will increase the number of camps in such centers.
Our target is to ensure that everyone over the age of 18 must get access to the vaccination session site easily,” CMO said.
Dr.
Yadav said the camps at Mandis would be held in the morning.
As far as places of worship, vaccination sessions will be held on Friday at the mosque and on Sundays in churches.
At the temple, the night session will take place during Navratri.
CMO has directed all health centers to speak with charges of temples, mosques and churches in their respective regions and ensure that the camps are arranged as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Gurgaon will have 49 government session sites on Wednesday.
Of these, the covishield will be given at 43 sites, Covaxin on five and sputnik v on one.
On sites for Covaxin, which includes PHC at the Chauma Metro Station, Tigra, Badshapur and Manesar and downtown Huda, only the second dose will be provided.
On Tuesday, 22,077 people in the age group 18-44 and 6,217 in the 45-plus category were vaccinated.
