Mumbai: Even though the country continues to report less than 200 Covid-19 deaths over the past two days, Covid-19’s daily deaths in Mumbai continued to be high in more than 20 for the fourth day in a row, with 21 deaths reported on Saturday.
The country reported 9,489 cases of everyday, slightly increased since Friday, and 153 deaths reported, took the total cases in Maharashtra since the start of Pandemi to 60.88 lakh and death becomes 1,22,724.
The city recorded 575 cases from 35,491 tests.
The total case in the city is now standing at 7.24 lakh, and death has touched 15,520.
BMC Executive Health Officer Dr.
Mangala Gomare said BMC has decided that a minimum of 30,000 tests must be done every day in the city.
To maintain less-than-3% pionositives at this time, BMC has decided that for each positive case, 32 samples must be tested for Covid-19.
Daily testing for each ward must be at least 32 times more than the number of everyday cases reported in the environment.
When cases began to increase on June 23, BMC decided to see the daily for 10 high-risk wards and track contact within 72 hours.
At the state level, the Kolhapur circle reported the number of Coronavirus highest number – 3,423-like against 1,822 cases reported by the Mumbai circle, and 3,092 cases were reported in a pune circle on Saturday.
