Jaipur: For seven consecutive days, the number of deaths from Covid-19 has increased every day in the country even when fresh infections are dipped for three consecutive days.
The state reported 23 deaths in 24 hours, the highest since June 11 when 27 people died of Covid.
But the number of new cases is 32% less on Mondays than what was reported on Sunday.
The daily increase in active cases has also slowed slightly.
Active casts rose from 93,442 to 93,502 at a daily growth rate of 0.06%.
It has declined in the last three days.
On January 21, active cases increased by 8.5%.
But from January 22 to 24, the daily growth rate reached 5.2%, 4.7% and 0.06%, indicating a downward trend.
Over the past three days, the number of cases reported every day has decreased after touching the highest 16,878 on January 21.
In the next three days (January 22-24), this fell to 14,829; 14.112; and 9,480 cases, respectively, produced a total calculation to 11,39,382.
With 23 people dead in 24 hours, victims of the state rose to 9.118.
Five deaths were reported from Jodhpur, four of Jaipur, each of Bikaner, Jhalawar, Pratapgarh, and each of them came from Ajmer, Dholpur, Srianganganagar, Jalore, Kariah, Pali, Sikar and Tonk.
A health department official said that Jaipur had the highest number of active cases.
Until now, there were 24,736 active cases in the city, with more than 98% treated under house isolation.
The city also reported 2,427 new cases.
Active cases increased slightly from 24,340 to 24,736 in 24 hours.
In addition, 9,397 people also recovered in the state, with Jaipur contributing 2,024 from them and Jodhpur 810.
