Kolhapur: Manufacturers, traders and travel operators from Kolhapur demand regular flight connectivity to Mumbai.
At present, flights to Mumbai are on every alternative day.
To prioritize their DEAMND to start routine flight connectivity with Mumbai from Kolhapur, the official team from the Association of Gokul-Shirgaon Manufacturers, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kolhapur, Kolhapur Engineering Association, Shiroli Manufacturer Association, Kagal-Hatankanangle Manufacturer Association and the Kolhapur Travel Agency Association Meet Director of Kamal Airport Kumar Kataria.
Kamal Kumar Kataria said, “The effort was taking place to get a morning slot at Mumbai airport.
Kolhapur-Mumbai flights, which are scheduled for every alternative day, need to do routine flights because of high passenger counters.
We’ve been in talks with flight operators.
The service has been efficient now and Routine services will also be started soon.
“The runway extension work and night landing facilities will be completed in June this year.
Parking facilities are also made in which two ATR flights and one Boeing aircraft can be parked, added the catria.
