Dakshina Kannada: Deputy commissioner warns devotees Seeing Kukke, Dharmastala temples Throughout lockdown

MANGALURU: there are not any plans ahead of the Dakshina Kannada district government to open temples to the following two months, stated deputy commissioner H V Rajendra.
He explained that devotees from several areas happen to be travelling into the Kukke Subrahmanya Temple, Dharmasthala Temple and other temples in the area, believing the shrines are available.
“The district government has led the authorities to seize vehicles and reserve cases below the Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act and Disaster Management Act.
Added checkposts will be put up to stop people from traveling to temples.
We haven’t taken any decision on launching the temples,” he explained.
On unlock, the DC stated that a decision will be taken following a meeting with people’s agents.
“It’s the state government which is going to take a choice with respect to raising the lockdown.
The authorities will determine if conclusions to raising the lockdown be obtained at the district or state level.
Unlock may be implemented in a phased fashion, depending on the instructions of the authorities,” he explained.
The district has ran 59,818 evaluations for Covid-19 from the previous seven days, by June 12.
“The subject was taking steps to curtail the spread of this novel coronavirus.
