Food will be presented to students from class VI to X.
Officials say that they have supplied food and grain foods needed to prepare for midday eating to almost 50% of schools.
Those who have not received the provisions can be their source from the institution around it.
The midday food was served on campus for the first time since March 2020.
Executive Officer for Akshara Dasoha, Dakshina Kannada, Usha M told Ti that they could not equip all schools with the amount of food needed for lack of time.
“In addition to logistical problems, including transportation, many holidays in the last week also inhibited our plans to supply food to all schools.
For now, we have asked schools that have received food to share them with those who do not.

Personnel in schools, meanwhile, have cleared the area intended on campus to prepare for midday food, while all that has the responsibility to prepare and present foods that are acquainted with standard operating procedures.
“We have asked for school to repair the damaged equipment needed to prepare for midday eating,” Usha said.
Overall, there are 3,213 midday eating workers in schools in Dakshina Kannada.
After the Covid induced crisis encouraged the government to suspend the class on campus, the students who were served midday were supplied with rice, wheat, dal tours, oil and salt in their homes.
Even though the class was continued on campus for many schools in the 2019-20 academic year, midday eating was not served.
Usha said they would begin serving food to students from first to five from November 1, even though the class would continue for them from October 25.
He added that the number of students who will benefit from the scheme has increased to 1.5 lakh this year from 1.47 lakh this year the previous academic year.
