Dalit girl was saved from the grip of young people

Bahraich: A 17-year-old Dalit girl who was allegedly kidnapped by three young men and was then saved in a village under the Visheshwarganj police station here, officials said on Saturday.
The police on Friday saved the girl and arrested one of the kidnappers.
The victim’s family has accused that three young men from the same village – Rashid, Nizam and Ashfaq – were used to troubled the girl and they made him marry a young man’s young man some time ago.
The family said that about 15 days ago, the girl came to her parents’ house but the same young men took her away from home, police said.
Additional Supervisors of Police (City) Kunwar Gyananjay Singh said the teenager’s family had submitted a case of kidnapping and SC / SC (prevention of atrocities) acting against three young men.
During the investigation, the police knew that the girl was locked up somewhere and one of the accused of Rashid was arrested on Friday, ASP said, added that the victim had been sent to conduct a medical examination.
“The girl, in the statement before the police, said that he had gone with Rashid from his own free will, but for investigating such cases, the statement given based on part 164 CRPC in court was more important for the court on Monday,” Add ASP.
