Damaged e-shopping fraud portal, 2 held

Vadodara: Two people, who use cell phone numbers from unsuspecting citizens to commit fraud worth Lakh Rupees, have been captured by Dehuth Cybercrime in the city.
Duo, accused of allegedly deactivated many people in the past, said Police Patel told the police that his wife Nidhi began to bake countless from many people throughout the country.
Callers demand the products they have purchased from the Blazeshop.live website.
“Investigations revealed that the defendant had posted Nidhi’s cellphone number on the website.
The defendant starts a website for online shopping where they usually receive payments but do not send products.
Usaha ordinary buyers call Nidhi’s number for investigation,” the police said.
Patel and his wife did not realize that the number was misused.
Sleuth Cybercrime then contacts customers who have purchased products from the website through online payments.
It takes them to a bank account where the money transferred by the saved customer.
“The bank account on behalf of Gaurav Brahmbhatt, anand residents, and registered mobile numbers related to the bank account on behalf of Nikunj Dave, the population of Valsad,” the police added.
Bank accounts have Rs.
5.35 lakh deposits.
The police tracked the location of the duo and arrested them.
Official investigations say that the duo must suck up a large number by cheating dozens of people using a fake shopping website.
“We tried to ascertain whether they had committed a similar fraud in the past besides recovering the money they were from unsuspecting customers,” the police said.
