PANAJI: Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday reported the state authorities is only going to utilize Goa on its own legislations and shed the reference Daman and Diu.
Sawant also stated that financially poorer panchayats will be provided a grant of Rs 50,000.
Addressing the individuals nearly on the Statehood Day, Sawant stated although Daman and Diu were split in Goa 35 decades back in 1987, we utilize Goa, Daman and Diu in our legislation, property earnings codes and other legislations.
“Goa became a state in 1987,” he explained and added that a large part of the legislation enacted from the meeting belong to Goa rather than Daman and Diu.
Sawant reported that the state authorities was able to supply relief to 70 percent of the individuals who confronted losses because of Cyclone Tauktae.
He explained that the supply of Rs 50,000 could be utilized by panchayats to get cyclone or even Covid management.
“The amount could be deposited into the account of their panchayats on Monday or Tuesday,” the ministry said.
Sawant stated that financially solid panchayats could spend Rs two lakh in their treasury to carry up different functions and Rs 5 lakh could be spend to buy gear for catastrophe management.
He stated that municipalities may also devote a similar sum for catastrophe management.
