Damodar sank: 1 body found, 2 lost

Bokaro: The body of one of Bokaro’s students, who sank on the Damodar River near Bhatua Basti under the Harla police station on Sunday, was found on Monday after a massive search operation by the district police and NDRF joint team.
The deceased was identified as a hard raj that came from Sector-3 in Bokaro.
His body was found 6 km from Bhatua Basti.
Two other bodies – namely Shubham Kumar Mishra and Basant Kumar – have not been found.
“Team 17 members from NDRF personnel, who have come down from Ranchi, conducted a massive search operation along the stream of rivers 17 km to West Bengal Bengal but failed to track both the body.
Search operations will continue on Tuesday and the NDRF team will camp here Tonight, “said Shakti Kumar District Disaster Officer.
All three are students of class XI from higher MGM secondary schools.
On Sunday, they were swept on the river at Bhatua Basti near Sector-11 below the Harla Police Station.
There were nine students who went to take a shower on the river.
They all left home by saying that they went for tuition and the cricket match later.
