New Delhi: The Delhi government does not want the livelihoods of people affected and Covid restrictions will decrease as soon as possible, the Chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal stressed on Tuesday, said the city’s positioning level had diminished to 10% in 10 days.
Restrictions were put in place of view of public health, said Kejriwal after lifting the national flag in the function of the Republic of the Republic of the Delhi.
“Delhiit suffers most because of Covid.
We don’t want that your livelihood is affected but your health is important, so we have to put the limit,” he said.
Recently, the Delhi government’s proposal to lift weekend wednesday and a strange opening scheme considering the increasing Covid situation here was rejected by Lieutenant Governor (L-G).
“Last week some traders had come and they said they faced many problems because of a strange scheme and weekend hours.
LG agreed to several proposals and at some, he was different.
We will remove this limit as soon as possible,” said Kejriwal.
He said Delhi suffered a “fifth wave” of the Coronavirus pandemic which was driven by the omicron variant of the virus.
Omicron variant spread very quickly but said lightly, said the main minister.
Kejriwal also talks about reducing the number of Covid cases and Delhi vaccination programs.
On January 13, the number of cases was 29,000 and even later, only 2,500-3,000 beds were occupied, he said.
The minister’s chairman said on January 15, the highest level of participant was reported about 30 percent.
But it has been reduced to 10 percent in the last 10 days, he said, adding that the number of cases was also reduced.
He said it was possible because of consistent vaccination.
“Vaccination in Delhi has been carried out at the environmental level in mission mode.
The first dose has been given to 100 percent of people while 82 percent have received a second dose too.
I think it is a note in the country and the world as well,” Kejriwal said.
He said that throughout the country was a third covid wave but for Delhi it was the fifth wave.
Covid is a virus that comes from foreign countries and most international flights come to Delhi.
So, whenever the new variant was reported, he had come to Delhi first, said Kejriwal.
“But the way Delhi officers, doctors and others handle this coronavirus pandemic, and the way Delhies patiently faces it in a disciplined manner,” he said.
