Darbhanga SSP Convoy Attacked, 20 Arrested

Patna: At least 20 people were arrested until nights to throw SSP stones Darbhanga Ram Babu and other police personnel after they tried to clean the crowd that had gathered near the voting booth during the third phase of the Panchatti election in Baheri Village under the Baheri Police Station.

The crowd has gathered near the 333, 333-A and 334 polling booth in the government high school in the village which falls under Havish Panchayat.
Among the 20 captured, two are women.
Sho of Baheri Police Station Mukesh Kumar Mandal said Mukhiya candidate Rammurti Yadav, who fought Havish Panchayat, was the main accusation.
Mandal said at least three policemen were injured in throwing stones.
“Yadav is avoiding the arrest,” Sho added.
Benipur Sdpo Kumar Sumit said 26 people, including Yadav, had been made named accused in the registered FIR in connection with the incident.
