Hyderabad: While Chairman of K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Minister has advised Dalit to take advantage of Rs 10 Lakh Bonanza from the Dalit Bandhu scheme to become an entrepreneur, there are very few socio-economic data about community participation in business.
Although the numbers are definitely unknown, data from the Ministry of Union Statistics and the implementation of the program on the social group of company owners or partners revealed that only around 75 of 1,000 businesses in the state held by members of the SC community.
It is a company of ownership units and partnerships.
This survey includes 9,001 samples from a total of 24.75,010 business projected in the state.
Among the southern countries, the AP was at the top with 106 SC owners from the sample of companies considered in the state.
Karnataka at 75 is comparable to Telangana, while Kerala only has 47 owners like that.
But both countries and centers have conducted surveys or learn to find out the socio-economic background of people in an unorganized sector.
With the state government plans to connect the incentive of Rs 10 lakh in the Dalit Bandhu scheme with small businesses or other activities, the number of Dalits that hold businesses in Telangana is expected to increase.
The state government has identified 30 small jobs / businesses where Dalit can use the benefit money well.
However, complete instructions about who will qualify and how the company will be directed not to be released.
“The urge to create small entrepreneurs from the Dalit community has been around since the 1980s.
In recent years, the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dalit (DICCI) has emerged to help them with medium and large projects too,” said a senior official.
