Mumbai: Minister of Maharashtra and the National Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik’s son-in-law of Sameer Khan has sent a legal notice to the former chairman of the Minister and leader BJP Devendra Fadnivis to flatten “false allegations” and “false charges” against him.
According to copies of legal notice, shared on Twitter by Nawab Malik and his daughter Nilofer Malik Khan, Khan also demanded Rs 5 Crore because of “mental torture, suffering and financial losses.” Fadnavis on November 1 accused Sameer Khan from “having drugs, while the investigation into this case still happened.” “The accusation is baseless and without reward in my client’s house or under his ownership.
But from the source where you get a wrong report, reckless and baselessly better known by you,” said the legal notice.
Investigation in drug cases involving Sameer Khan continued with the team sitting on Monday.
Sameer Khan was arrested on January 13 by NCB because it was dealing with the commercial amount of medicine.
He was given a guarantee on September 27, after eight months in prison.
