New Delhi: The economic violation of Delhi police on Tuesday said that he had arrested Rita Dixit and Vijay Kant Dixit, each daughter and daughter-in-law, from the Jaypee Group Founder and former Chairman J P Gona, because of the alleged abuse of Rs 12 Crore.
The investigator claimed that the couple launched the mall project and took money from buyers with the pretext of giving them shops but they failed to fulfill their promises.
The police said both were Director of the company called JC World Hospitality Pvt Ltd and lived in Greater Noida.
“We have arrested them from their residence,” said an officer.
According to the police, an investor, Dhirendra Nath, along with several other people filed complaints against his company and director.
“Nath had ordered two shops on a project called JC World Mall.
It was launched by the defendant in 2014 in Noida.
He [Nath] has paid a total of 1,75 crore rs to companies in various installments,” additional police commissioners (EOW) RK Singh said .
Singh said the company promised that the ownership of the unit would be submitted in 30 months from the date of the rationing letter.
“Nath told us that the builder had not completed construction work and there was no construction that occurred at the location for the past 18 months,” the officer said.
Nath also claims that several meetings with directors are also in vain.
“We found that the company through his director had cheated several complainants, buyers with the pretext of providing stores in the project,” the officer said, added that there were more than 30 complainants.
During the probe, Noida Authority informs the police that the company has submitted a development plan for the project in 2015, which was returned to them with some objections and they were directed to provide relevant documents.
“The company does not respond in the specified period and, therefore, their request for the approval of the development plan was rejected.
It was also found that RS 6 Crore Money Buyers were given by the company to be the concern of a sister,” the officer was said.
