David Sassoli, the president of the European Parliament, died at 65

Strasbourg, France: European Parliament President David Sassoli died on Tuesday morning at a hospital in Italy, said his spokesman on Twitter.
Italy 65 years old was seriously ill at the hospital for more than two weeks because of its immune system dysfunction.
“David Sassoli died at 1.15 in the morning on January 11 at Cro at Aviano, Italy, where he was hospitalized,” spokesman Roberto Cuillo tweeted.
“Date and cemetery will be communicated in the next few hours.” Former television lists have been hospitalized since December 26 because of “serious complications due to immune system dysfunction,” said Cuillo on Monday, announcing the cancellation of Sassoli’s official activities.
Sassoli was previously treated with pneumonia for several weeks ago.
The European Parliament sat for a period of five years between the election, but the president of the body functions for half the time.
Sassoli has indicated that he will not seek re-election.
He was born on May 30, 1956, in Florence, Italy.
After a three-decade career as an Italian journalist, starting in the newspaper then moved to television and became a national anchor known nationally, Sassoli became a member of the European Parliament in 2009, and the speaker in 2019.
He is a member of the Left City Center of the Socialist Progressive Alliance and Democrats, the second largest grouping in parliament after the correct European People’s Party.
Even though his role was the speaker, he had a European legislative president’s degree.
His arrival in the room was traditionally announced in Italian as “Il Presidente”.
Unlike some UE officials, who speak English and France in public appearance, Sassoli has made the point of use of Italy.
On Tuesday next week, MEP is expected to hold the first round of voting for his successor.
