Day 1: Government School in Patna witnessed a bad presence

Patna: Schools opened back on Monday after a six-month gap for class IX and X students in the middle of a tight Covid safety protocol.
While private schools in the city watch 90% of attendance on day 1, less than 45% of students attend offline classes in government-managed schools.
All educational institutions have been closed since February after the second wave of pandemic.
Ramashish Roy, the Principal of Dav-khagaul, told this reporter that around 91% of students had appeared on the first day.
“It was a good start, much better than we expected.
Six offline classes with a capacity of 50% carried out together with online classes.
While some teachers gave online classes, others delivered college in the classroom,” he said.
Roy added, “The agile was done in different classrooms and a 10-minute lunch break given to students.” Principal of Baldwin Academy, Rajiv Ranjan Sinha, showed that class IX and X students were quite enthusiastic.
“Since 90% of students attended offline classes, we took all prevention steps to check the spread of Covid-19.
They were also given a 20-minute lunch break,” he added.
Government school, on the other hand, witnessed a bad presence.
Meena Kumari, Principal of the High School Girls Girls BankiPore, claimed that only 15-20% of students attended their classes on day 1.
Waving a similar view, the Principal of High School Patna, said Ravi Ranjan, “We witnessed poor.
Attendance in class IX and X, but hope that voters will increase in one or two weeks.
All teachers, staff, and students follow social distance norms strictly and wear face masks.
