Patna: The aroma of “Kheer” filled the air as a worship prepared and then distributed “Kharna” Prasad on Tuesday, the second day of Chhath.
The worshipers started quickly 36 hours after doing puja and consuming Prasad.
The worshipers will end fast on Thursday morning after paying respect at sunrise.
Apart from Ghats, different areas tied beautifully and Chhath songs can be heard in every corner and corner of the city.
Great rush witnessed in several Ghats in the city when people collect gangga water to be used in preparing the Prasad.
Some families even camped near Ghats to carry out rituals on Wednesday.
One such worshiper is Urmila Devi who came from Jehanabad.
He lives near Ghat Collectorate.
Busy preparing “kheer” using a jaggery, milk and rice on the ground stove, he said, “I have the desire to do Chhath on the edge of the Ganges.
My sons took me here.
I am happy to be near Ganga Ganga during Chhath.” Aditi Mishra , a resident of Rajiv Nagar, said the giokness and devotion by which Prasad was cooked to make this festival special.
“We cook kheer and bread even in other days, but the taste of Prasad today cannot be compared to world cuisine.
My mother cooks it in the brass tools on soil stoves and cleanliness is a priority when cooking Prasad,” he said, adding a large number of relatives and friends -Teman will visit their home at night to eat Prasad.
Aditi’s mother, Sarooj Mishra, who has observed CHHAT for the past 15 years, said, “This is because of the devotion that I have observed this festival since the last 15 years.
I pray for all people’s health and peace throughout the world.”
