Jodhpur: The police on Monday arrested a man who killed a 32-year-old married woman with ax on the Mnrega website in Thanwla Village in Jalore District.
The defendant was detained from the point on the Sunday itself but was arrested to complete all formalities.
After killing the woman, the defendant attached to the body until the police arrived.
The defendant identified as Ganesh Meena (21) has made progress towards Shantidvi (32) for a long time.
Jalore Sp Harsh Vardhan Agarwalla said, “The defendant is a bet every day and has pursued Shantidvi for some time.
He works as a Mnrega worker and has reached Jojawar Nadi’s website with another woman on Sunday morning as usual.
Ganesh approached him with ax in his hand and proposed it .
she asked him to stay away.
“” According to witnesses, Ganesh angry and warned that he would kill her.
In a rage, he continued to hit him with the ax until he fell.
After this, she clung to him and remained so until the police reached the spot and take it off , “Agarwalla said.
He said even the police had to struggle to separate them from the body.
According to officers, the incident took place for around 45-60 minutes until the police reached a point after information from other workers.
“There are many people on the site but no one dares to intervene to see his anger and ax,” the officer said.
The police suspect that Ganesh had to be taken at the time of the incident considering the malignancy he showed off but added that the facts would only be known after the accused medical report.
“We caught it on Monday after the initial interrogation and made him undergo a medical examination, the report being awaited”, he said.
