Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UOH) has received six-crore RS funds from the Biotechnology Department (DBT) to start research facilities and services for plant metabolomics (small molecular studies) and proteomics (protein studies) during a four-year period in tomato resource repository genomics resources (RTGR).
Established in 2010, RTGR conducted advanced scientific research in the field of genomic borders, proteomics and tomato metabolomics to increase nutrition and save tomatoes.
Given the scientific contribution, DBT recognizes RTGR as a center of excellence for ‘Genome Engineering in Tomato’.
Safe! You have managed to throw your voteogin to see the results of DBT, the Ministry of Science and technology, the Indian government has now sanctioned a number of Rs 6.18 Crore for a period of four years (2021-25) for the project entitled “Research and Service Facilities for Metabolomics and Proteomics Plants, up to RTGR.
As part of this project, RTGR will provide services to UOH and other academic institutions, industry, seed companies, etc., with a cost base.
It will also train users to understand and execute analysis of metabolomic and proteomic data by conducting an annual direct training workshop.
This will coordinate the project to provide high plant metaboloma and proteome analysis to users.
