Ludhiana: Although educational institutions are ordered to remain closed until January 15, but Deputy Commissioners have allowed schools to carry out practical checks with limitations and guidelines.
The decision applies to school all boards of CBSE, ICSE, CISCE or PSEB – in the district and taken interest in the students, said Varinder Kumar’s deputy commissioner.
This is after the Principal of the Sacred Heart Secondary School, Sarabha Nagar, asked DC to let the school carry out a practical exam scheduled for the Board class.
Receiving school requests, DC said: “Schools affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, CISCE or PSEB are permitted to carry out practical checks with restrictions and guidelines but every violation of this guideline will be punished below 51 to 60 from the 2005 Disaster Management Act.
Violations will also invite legal action under Section 88 of Indian Criminal.

“The school will call students in two batches, the first of 9 am to noon and the second from 2pm until 5pm.
In each group, a maximum of 25 students are permitted.
School authorities must ensure the Covid-19 protocol compliance issued by the central and state governments.
School authorities must also ensure exact sanititis from their campus twice a day, must wear masks, and social distance maintenance.
They must record all daily activities on CCTV cameras and do videography where needed.
