DC udupi convinced family 7 to take vaccines

Mangaluru: A family of seven who refused to be vaccinated against Covid-19 had agreed to take photos after the deputy commissioner of Udupi M Kurma went to their home and spoke to them on Saturday.
The family lived in the colony in Brahmavar in Saibrakatte.
They are somehow afraid of side effects that can be induced by vaccines.
Asha workers, doctors and representatives have tried to convince them, but they are not ready to take photos.
One family member has died because of Covid-19 but still a family is not sure about the efficacy of the vaccine.
Dates, who visited the Public Health Center in Saibgrakatte on Saturday, learned about family.
He visited the colony and managed to convince the family about vaccine security.
Dates told them: “District administration will be with you if something is wrong after taking a vaccine.” Finally, the family told DC that they would go for a vaccine one by one.
This district has so far provided the first dose of 9.24 lakh (92.5%) from 9.99 lakh target beneficiaries over 18 years.
In total, 6.11 lakh (61.2%) has received the second dose, said Dr.
Nagbhushan Udoma, district welfare officials and family kebabat.
“The district will start the Har Ghar Dastak campaign, a door-to-door vaccination drive, on November 22 and the same thing will be held until November 30.
Angnawadi and Asha workers will visit the house and examine the voter list to identify vaccine recipients.

He appealed to people to join hands so that the district reached 100% vaccine isolation.
