Mangaluru: Many complaints relating to the problems of victims of endosulfan poisoning will be overcome within a month, said Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner KV Rajendra in Mangaluru on Monday.
“A report on actions that began to overcome this problem will be presented at a meeting on February 17,” DC said.
Notification at a meeting held at the Auditorium of Nethravathi from Zilla Panchayat.
The representative of non-governmental organizations involved in the victims was among those who participated in the meeting.
Problems related to the issuance of identity and smart cards, facilities or deficiencies in child care centers, are among those discussed at the meeting.
Besides DC, Dakshina Kannda District Health Officer Dr.
Kishore Kumar M, District Surveillance Officer Dr.
Naveen Chandra Kulal and Secretary of Members of the Dakshina Kannada District Legal Services District Prithviraj District Vernekar participated in the meeting.
As in December 2021, the Department of Health Department has identified 4,432 victims of endosulfan poisoning in this district, including 3,606 fulfilled the requirements to receive benefits, while 551 had disability classified as below 25%, while 275 had died.
Area directed officials to complete the smart card and Identity to resolve the victims in a month, while Belthangady’s health worker Taluk was drawn for negligence in this number.
DHO is directed at issuing notification of demanding answers.
The meeting also ignited the fact that seven victims had not received their allowances over the past few months.
In this hose learning, DC asked the district defect officer to see this problem, and gather details of all those who have received their allowances within one month.
Rajendra reaffirmed the commitment of the district government to ensure the welfare of endosulfan victims.
He asked officials on the Taluk to meet parents regularly, and resolve any problems without delay.
