New Delhi: Delhi Disaster Management Authority has enabled city schools to reopen in part for class X and XII students from Monday for practical classes and work related to receipt such as guidance and counseling.
The school, however, said they would be waiting for orders from the Delhi government education directorate.
DDMA issued orders on Sunday stated that “class X students XII were allowed to visit their school for jobs related to receipt, including counseling / guidance and practical activities related to the Board exam”.

Authority also allows health checks and referral services located in schools or done from there, to continue.
“Children of all ages can visit such centers accompanied by their parents / guardians,” said the command.
However, DDMA has allowed these activities in schools subject to compliance with strict guidelines to be issued by the Directorate of Education to ensure that the appropriate Covid protocol followed and the safety of children was confirmed.
During his meeting on Friday, DDMA also decided to establish a Basic and Health Education Expert Committee, to explore the possibility and prepare a road map for the reopening of educational institutions in the city.
Some commands open school for class X and XII students are issued separately on Sunday.
The school, however, could not be reopened on Monday itself when the school authority said they had not received orders from Doe.
Ashok Pandey, Director, Ahlcon School said, “We have not received orders from DOE on the modality of reopening schools.
After we receive this order, we will decide.”
In January this year, schools have been reopened for class X and XII students for practical classes.
At that time, approval from parents needed.
The school has been completely closed since the beginning of the second covid wave in April.
On July 29, the Delhi government has invited suggestions from students, teachers, and parents in the reopening of schools and colleges.
From a response, 58% said they support the reopening of educational institutions.
“Private schools welcome decisions taken by Delhi Disaster Management Authorities.
All of us, along with our staff and parents, will together ensure the security of our students.
We look forward to full and positive support from our parents,” said Bharat Arora, Secretary General of the Private School Action Committee without assistance.
DDMA orders reiterated that except for two activities permitted on Sundays for class X and XII students, all schools, colleges, training institutions, and other educational institutions will remain closed, and online learning and must be permitted and must be encouraged.
