New Delhi: MP BJP Manoj Tiwari on Saturday befell objections to Delhi disaster management authorities that did not allow the celebration of the Puja Chhath on the banks of the Yamuna River and blamed the Head of Minister of Arvind Kejriawal for it.
DDMA was chaired by the Governor of Lieutenant.
In a letter to CM, Tiwari begged that people should not be stopped from organizing the Puja Chhath on the banks of the Yamuna River.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Parvesh Sahib Singh announced that he would oppose the prohibition of DDMA and facilitate the celebration of the Puja Chhath in Yamuna Bank and brave Cm Kejriwal to stop it.
Aam Aadmi Party Mla Sanjeev Jha wrote a letter to LG Anil Baijal explained that during the puja chhath no idol immersion occurred and in fact, the worshipers cleaned the river to the purpose of Puja.
Jha finds an appointment with LG on this issue.
“Kejriwal Ji, you are a member of DDMA.
Why do you maintain silence in a DDMA meeting? Why does your government not send a proposal (to DDMA) to hold the Puja Chhath at Yamuna Bank? You remain silent because you oppose the Puja Chhath from the beginning,” said Tiwari said Tweet.
Tiwari urged the AAP government to publish a proposal in the Puja Chhath which was intended before DDMA.
Tiwari demanded that the DDMA emergency meeting must be held and BJP parliamentarians must also be invited to join meetings to discuss this issue.
Aap Mla Jha believes that people have celebrated the Puja Chhath every year on the banks of the Yamuna River.
Jha stated that he had been told that permits were rejected because the level of pollution increased in Yamuna like after a delicious idol after Ganesh Chaturthi and Durga Puja and emphasized that the puja chhath was celebrated naturally.
Meanwhile, the Delhi government has begun preparation to regulate the Chhath Puja on the sites designated throughout the city and DDMA has issued a detailed command that determines the guidelines to hold a festival after the Covid Pandemic applies.
Herahers have been allowed to hold Puja only on the site designated by district authorities through consultation with the Chhath Puja Committee and other stakeholders.
Revenue Minister Kailash Gahlot recently held a meeting with DMS officials and the Department of Revenue and asked them to hold meetings with the Puja Chhath organizing committee to appoint the site and also began preparation to provide the facilities needed such as lighting, tents, etc.
