Dead cop’s Title appears in Transport Arrangement, Odisha Police draw flak

BHUBANESWAR: The title of a police officer, that died this past year, has been guessed in a transport sequence on Tuesday, much to the humiliation of their Odisha Police.
Kampal Naik, that had been a subedar in Specific India Reserve (SIR) battalion in Koraput, expired last year due to disease.
But, his name emerged at the transport record of 12 police employees, who’ve been granted new postings in various battalions from the nation.
The move order was issued from the state’s headquarters.
The humiliation caused the fore the inadequate performance of the employees wing of Odisha Police and brought flak on social networking platforms.

“This was a typo.
We do not understand the way the blunder occurred.
It ought to have been properly scrutinised before issuance of the purchase.
We’ve issued a corrigendum order following the blooper came into our view,” a senior police officer in the headquarters told TOI.
Last monthafter the Odisha Police had confronted a similar humiliation when a move arrangement showed that the marketing of a girl sub-inspector Rina Baxala, that had been under suspension for forcing a pregnant woman to walk 3km for never wearing a helmet at Mayurbhanj district.
A red-faced state authorities officer revoked her advertising hours later she became the inspector.
