Thiruvananthapuram: The couple who came from Kollam died in the city after they were torn down on a fast motorcycle on Jalan MG near Pazhavangadi.
Dennis Daniel, 45, and wife of Nirmala Dennis, 34, from the Sacthikulangan in Kollam was the deceased.
The castle police have registered cases in this matter and launched the probe.
The police said the couple was hit by a motorcycle when they crossed the road around 8:30 a.m.
on Wednesday.
Both of them rushed to the fortress hospital nearby.
Dennis Daniel died around 10pm.
Even though Nirmala shifted to KimS Hospital in Venpalavattom for experts’ care, he gave up on his injury around 2am on Thursday.
The police also said the accident occurred while the two couple children were waiting in their cars parked nearby.
They were broken down by motorbikes from Overbridge towards Pazhavangadi.
Visual camera surveillance shows that vehicles move at dangerous speed.
Two men on motorbikes, were identified as Shyam and Vishnu, also suffered injuries.
According to the deceased relatives, the family was in the city since last Friday in connection with the treatment for Dennis Daniel.
He was hospitalized SK for treatment for diseases that affect the spinal cord.
On Wednesday he was dismissed from the hospital.
They reached Pazhavangadi to buy medicines.
They were accompanied by their children, Denila Dennis, 12, and Dennis Dayal, 4, together with Nirmala’s parents.
The couple bought two drugs from one pharmacist there and crossed the road to reach other pharmacists located across the street for third medicine.
