Kolkata: Some dead fish were found floating in different angles from Rabindra Sarobar on the morning pedestrians on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“I note about 20 to 25 dead fish floating in different places on Saturday morning.
The oxygen level in the water seems to have been reduced,” said PK Bose, an ordinary lake.
In September, too, dead fish were found floating in Sarobar water.
“Some fish die during the winter because of a sustainable cloud cover, but this is not the time.
The designated expert committee to see this problem has recommended the installation of aerator machines that will help instill oxygen into the water.
We are working on a plan,” said a KMDA official.

Officials said there was also a plan to restart the fountains – which remained closed for some time – which would help in water cycling and produce oxygen.
“This lake suffers environmental degradation.
Water pollution is increasing due to several factors.
Only installing aerator machines in the lake water will not help.
It is important to sue lakes,” said environmental activist Siscendra Mohan Ghosh, another lake regularly.
