Nagpur: A total of 84 staff and employees work in different capacities in universities and government medical hospitals (GMCH).
Nagpur, has written a letter to the Head of the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) who complained about Dr.
Sudhir Gupta, the Dean responsible for medical colleges.
According to the staff, Dr.
Gupta mentally harassed them.
Dr.
Gupta claimed that some staff were planning a conspiracy for him because he had “applying a very awaited and delayed administrative reshuffes”.
The letter of seven points signed by 84 employees primarily accused the use of raw languages and arrogant behavior by Dr.
Gupta.
“Dean passes personal comments on employees when someone takes the file to him for approval.
He made the Registrar wait for hours for a signature,” the letter reading.
“Deans also threaten to damage our service record and call our thieves, corrupt and incompetent,” said the employee.
Employees also accused Dr.
Gupta serving notification shows without reason, stopping employee salaries and targeting some personally elected employees.
A copy of the letter has been sent to the medical education Minister Amit Deshmukh, Minister of Guardian Nitin Raut, District collector and president of the State Human Rights Commission.
When Tii contacted Dr.
Gupta, he said since taking over as a responsible Dean of GMCH, he had introduced a large reshouz and administrative changes to repair the institution.
“This has made several staff,” he said.
According to Dr.
Gupta, the delayed administrative reshuffle of the last 10 years was carried out under his tenure and “many senior employees must leave the table they handle for years”.
“This senior employee has created this controversy and several juniors threatened to sign the letter,” he said.
Dr.
Gupta said he had held an administrative and employee meeting meeting on Friday at 11 am.
“I hope we will immediately sort out the problem,” he said.
A veteran in the field of gastroenterology, Dr.
Gupta took over as GMCH Dean in February this year after Dr.
Sajal partners took voluntary pensions.
GMCH has struggled the second wave of Covid-19 and a surge in mukormycotic cases during the term of office from Gupta.
