Forest officers have made the cause of young elephants and conditions that cause their deaths under warps.
Sironcha DCF Sumit Kumar does not respond to repetitive calls made to find details about the incident.
Previously, the elephant of the 32-month-old woman Saee died in a mysterious state on August 3, in the same camp.
He had stopped feeding on August 2 and his movements had slowed down.
The veterinarian from Aheri was called for his treatment and he went to the forest with another elephant at night.
However, his body was found in the forest the next morning.
Postmortem is done on the same day.
However, officials stated that the cause of death can be ascertained only after receiving the forensic analysis of viscera samples.
Three elephants have died in our campaign camp in the last 14 months.
First among a series of the latest deaths was a 4-year-old elephant named Aditya, who had died on June 29, 2020.
Aditya was accidentally hit by mud on June 11, 2020, and consumed only after a hard attempt.
However, Aditya’s health deteriorated even after treatment and jumbo failed to recover.
The question was raised on the elephant direction at that time.
There used to be 10 elephants in Kamlapur Camp until last year.
Now, the number drops to 7.
