Ahmedabad: A man from Dingucha Village in Gandhinagar Gujarat district on Sunday said he and Kin was worried about family reports of freezing to death while trying to cross the US-Canadian border because he could not build contact with family members recently abandoned for Canada.
The family was worried about a family report, including a baby, which was believed to be Gujarat, died because of extreme cold weather exposure along the US-Canadian border where authority from countries believed was a failed intersection effort during a failed snowstorm.
Gandhinagar collector Kuldeep Arya said he had learned about a family from Dingucha Village to go to Canada on a valid visa, but had not received information about the deceased, or if they belonged to this village.
There is no official communication from the Ministry of External Affairs or the Union Ministry of Home about this, Arya added.
A cousin of one Patel Jagdish, who recently went to Canada with his wife and two children, said the family in Gujarat Kalol Taluka was worried because they remained not related today.
“We were very worried after coming across the news report on four dying family members when trying to cross the US-Canadian border.
My cousin recently went for Canada …” said Jaswant Patel told reporters.
