Dindigul: Director General of Police (DGP) C Sylendra Babu has been transferred to the branch of the Criminal Investigation Division (CB-CID) in an investigation into a suspicious death of a 10-year-old girl at her school near Kodaikanal.
This has happened in the midst of strong protests with various clothes raising suspicion in his death and demanding the case to be transferred to CB-CID or CBI.
Class V students were found near the school kitchen with severe burning injury on December 15.
He rushed to the nearest government hospital but he died on the road.
