Mumbai: Head of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said decentralized production would help the Indian economy to produce work and entrepreneurial opportunities.
“Controlled consumerism” is needed to ensure there is no exploitation of natural resources, said Bhagwat after lifting the national flag at Mumbai School on the 75th Independence Day.
Life standards should not be decided by how much we produce, but with how much we give back, said Head of RSS.
“We will be happy when we consider all well-being.
To be happy, we need healthy finance and for this, we need financial strength,” Bhagwat said.
Being ‘swadesh’ means doing business “on our terms and conditions”, said Bhagwat.
“Government work must support and encourage the industry.
The government must provide direction to produce what is important for the development of the country,” he said.
Production needs to be done by people-centric, said Bhagwat.
Focus must be in research and development, MSMEs and the Cooperation Sector, he added.
