New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said on Thursday that Punjab party workers would decide who would be the first ministerial candidate in the election of the Assembly.
“The request to express the face of the punjab cm party will soon meet after consulting with congressional workers,” Rahul said on the virtual rally in Jalandhar.
“Usually, we don’t do this but if the Congress Party, our workers and Punjab want this, then we will make a decision on the face of CM,” he said.
“Chief Minister of Charanjit Minister Singh Channi and the president of the Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu has convinced me that they will accept party decisions and work united,” Rahul added.
Rahul Gandhi’s words, CM Channi said, “There is no fight between us.
Announce the face of the minister’s head for the Punjab tax tax, we (Punjab Congress) will stand united.” CM’s face problem has become a bone of dispute between Channi and Sidhu, both of which are strong competitors to lead the party in the poll.
The two previous leaders demanded that the party declare a CM face in the state.
Rahul Gandhi made a daily visit to Punjab to campaign for future polls.
He visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar earlier today and eat ‘langar’ there.
Congress leader accompanied by Channi and Sidhu.
However, five members of the party parliament lost in the action during Rahul’s visit.
