As Imtiaz Ali 2009 filmmaker ‘Love Aaj Kal’ at 12 years on Saturday, actor Deepika Padukone recalled playing Meera, a character he said resonated with many women at the time.
Romantic drama, featuring Saif Ali Khan as a male tin, drawing between two love stories – a set in the 1960s and the other on the new millennium.
The 35-year-old actor said the time he spent while working in the film still brought a smile on his face.
“I can’t believe it’s been 12 years since ‘Cinta Aaj Kal’ has been released! Meera, I believe, just beautiful; inside out.

Just remembering all the months we spent for filming Delhi and London , bring a smile to my face, “Padukone said.
Manufactured by Khan and Dinesh Vijan, this film was well received by critics and audiences.
In 2020, Ali directed to take contemporary on films with similar themes of two love stories – a set in Udaipur in the early 90s and the other in Delhi Modern.
Film, featuring Ayyan and Sara Ali Khan’s Kartik actor, received a lukewarm response.
