Directed by Shakun Batra, ‘Bintang Gehrayaan’ Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in an important role.
The trio is currently in promotional preparation for their upcoming films.
In an exclusive chat with Etime, deepika speaks at length about his experience to be able to portray the character and his feelings on the screen with authenticity, no matter how much physical love is involved.

He said, “I will not connect it to age and even for gender.
If it’s something that happens in general, then I will say, alright.
But I will not say that young filmmakers have a sensitivity or director of certain women having certain sensitivity, I will connect it from people to people.
And I will 100 percent say that, if a film like ‘gehraiya’ is not in the hands of a director like Shakun, well I will do a film and can’t send it, in the way I have.
If the director insists it must be done in a certain way, then I might excuse it from it.
”
Speaking of the comfort and trust he had in Shakun, he said, “If there is a intimacy, you know that it is not for titillate or excites the audience.
It comes from a very authentic place of what character and what the film is needed.
If the film is needed It’s in the hands of others, then in all probabilities, I won’t do it.
I might push back certain things.
”

‘Gehrayaan’ also starred in the Dhairya Karwa as one of the direction along with Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor in an important role.
