TRICHY: Workers of Ordnance Factory Trichy (OFT) and High Energy Projectile Factory (HEPF) completed protests in their various factories on Friday alleging that the Union administration is trying to corporatise the Ordnance Factory Board (OFB).
The joint action committee of commerce organisations in Ordnance Factory Trichy (OFT) and also HAPF alleged that the central government is likely to split the 41 ordnance factories from the nation to seven distinct businesses.
They stated linking the ordnance factories to businesses in the name of restructuring has been a preliminary movement from privatising the 200-year-old business enterprise.
The effort would undermine the security of the country, they included.
