PATNA: The state cabinet on Tuesday approved the suggestion of the panchayati raj section to issue an ordinance for creation of both panchayat advisory committee (PAC) in most of the panchayats to manage developmental tasks in the village level as projections into some three-tier panchayati raj bodies are unlikely to be held until June 15.
The government has sent the draft of this proposed ordinance to governor Phagu Chauhan because of his assent.
“After the governor gives his assent, the ordinance will be instantly notified and its execution begins,” an origin from the panchayati raj division stated.
“The issuance of this ordinance became crucial since panchayat elections could be postponed from the nation.
The whole procedure of the elections needed to be performed before or by June 15, which isn’t possible under the current conditions,” the source added.
An official at the country cabinet secretariat department stated the specifics of the proposition cannot be shown at this phase.
“They will probably be understood only after the Bible gives his assent to the proposition,” the official added.
