Thiruvananthapuram: Retender Project Integrated Commands and Control (ICCCC) under the Smart City scheme has encouraged original estimates by 48%.
City Smart Thiruvananthapuram Limited (SCTL) has dealt with delays starting the project solely because of the opposition from the left union which costs two years.
The ruling council has failed to make progress until the head of Pinarayi Vijayan’s minister intervened and directed officials to stay with the original proposal and ICCCC location.
However, the company that won the offer in 2020 was finally supported by a scheme that forced SCTL to go for retenders.
The bid submission date will expire on Thursday.
By 2020, the possibility of the number of contracts (PAC) is Rs 1.19 Crore.
With a jammed project for two years, Retenders resulted in an estimate of rising to 1.77 crore.
If the Ruler Board can reach a concrete solution, the project will be completed now, the source said.
The actual period of work completion is nine months.
Unlike the initial tender, when SCTL goes for national competitive offers, retenders are limited to accredited bodies of state governments.
It was lowned that SCTL was not interested in promoting companies from all over the country because it was skeptical against companies that demanded a revision of estimation and stopped work in the middle of the road.
The revision of such estimation after work is provided is not expected in the case of an accredited institution.
In accordance with the plan, Janaseva Kendra’s extension block on the ground floor and the Kerala Audit Department and the account department on the first floor of the corporate building will be used to develop ICCCC.
In accordance with the tender document, the height of the building has been designed to partially mimic the existing facade of the company’s office blocks and a large vertical band will be used for the digital display in the future.
Janaseva Kendra will be fully destroyed for this project.
ICCC will have video wall space, war room, aid desk and general movement room, work area, meeting room on the first floor.
The total facilities will be built above an area of 858.45 sq.m according to the project, the ICCCC will be an integrated system that will operate and manage several city service operations, including real-time monitoring and increasing service delivery efficiency.
Various independent solutions will be integrated into the command center and control such as smart water networks: continuous monitoring of water supply, availability (supply rate, loss and water quality, intelligent traffic and transportation management: Traffic management, tracking violations, smart parking and smart bus stop , SWM data center: Connecting vendors of personal strength with waste generators, coordination, monitoring and reviewing decentralization activities.
It will also have other features such as the Early Warning System: Flood Hazards, Coastal Hazards and Door’s Health Risk and Smart Mosquito System Density; Sensor Tracking is related to the control room and warning system for officials through smart phones and web applications.
