Delay tests, evaluation affects the future of MU students

Mangaluru: Old delays in conducting semester checks and evaluations, for various reasons, have thrown uncertainty about the future of many students.
Bachelor of Bachelor (UG) Final Semester (PG) (PG) has been abandoned in trouble, because of the unprecedented delay in conducting the exam.
Now they have to wait until the end of November to get their results.
According to the pre-pandemic calendar event Mangalore University (MU), examination and results of the final semester or sixth semester semester and the fourth semester postgraduate courses should be announced in August.
“I was in a dilemma because I had a job offer from MNC in Bengaluru.
However, I can’t take it, because my course and examination haven’t ended.
I don’t understand right now about my future,” said a student who chased MSC.
UG students worried that he was worried whether he would be able to pursue higher education or not.
P L Dharma, Registrar (Evaluation), Mangalore University, acknowledged the odd semester examination, which began in April, was delayed for several reasons, including the second wave of Covid-19 bus strikes and KSRTC.
It was scheduled to start in August, but the district government stopped it because of a surge in Covid-19 cases.
Postgraduate examination planned in April, took place in August, and finished a few days ago.
Finally, UG and PG exams got more than the first week of September.
Dharma stated that Manchester United had planned to conduct the sixth semester and fourth semester exam from September 30.
This will end in the third week of October.
MU has made provisions for the final semester backlog students to submit a test.
In the odd semester evaluation delay, Dharma said they had plans to conduct evaluations and examinations simultaneously, when the UG exam and PG was active.
However, there are opposition from the teacher, because they cannot conduct evaluations and busy tasks simultaneously.
“We have decided to start the evaluation of September 27.
If everything goes well, the odd semester exam results PG / UG will be stated at the end of October,” he said.
The teaching faculty is again not happy with the MU’s decision to carry out test tasks and evaluation work at the same time.
