PUDUCHERRY: Health of the Union and the Ministry of Welfare of the Family have directed American and union countries to delay managing Covid-19 vaccines including prevention doses for beneficiaries three months after recovery.
The additional secretary (health and family welfare) and the Director of the National Health Mission Vikas Sheel issued direction in this regard on Friday.
“In the case of individuals who have a proven laboratory test SARS-2 Covid-19 illness, all Covid vaccinations include a preventive dose suspended by three months after recovery,” Sheel Vikas said in a letter addressed to the main secretary, the main secretary and major secretary.

With the administration of a vaccine dose of nearly 80 lakh in the range of 24 ministries issued a direction after receiving requests from various quarters for the guidance on the provision of prevention doses to people who meet the requirements that have diseases.
The ministry issued guidance after scientific evidence and recommendations from the National Technical Advisory Group on immunization in India (NTagi).
India began providing Covid-19 vaccines to children aged 15 to 18 years from January 3 and prevention doses for health workers, frontline workers and people over 60 with comorbidity of the Covid-19 national vaccination program.
Prevention doses must be given to the completion of nine months I.e.
39 weeks from the date of the second dose, said Vikas Sheel.
