New Delhi: Although it has distributed more than RS 19 Crore among Delhi lawyers affected by Covid-19, Delhi Bar Board (BCD) also found several cases of false testing reports to get financial assistance.
On Wednesday, he suspended a 10 license of lawyers for allegedly submitting false positive reports.
Because false cases cut during random supervision 200 applications for funds, the board has now announced in the notification that it will verify all Covid test reports about around 4,000 lawyers from each testing laboratory.
“Therefore, it is recommended for beneficiaries that if one of them has submitted a false Covid report, he can voluntarily submit an apology in the form of written statement along with the design of request that has been received,” said the notice.
Chairman of the BCD Ramesh Gupta recorded the latest findings and suspended 10 advocates.
Special Discipline Committee has been formed to investigate further accusations.
Discipline’s body on July 9 first suspended lawyer licenses to practice for allegedly submitting a positive Covid false report.
“It is clear that the Covid report submitted by the lawyer is false and claiming financial assistance on the basis of false reports not only amounts to violations but also forgery and cheating,” the council said, asking for a previous response.
Special Discipline Committee within seven days of receipt of notification and appear directly before the panel.
