New Delhi: The police have arrested a 56-year-old man along with his based and winning 300 grams of Heroin worth 50 lakh from them, police said on Friday.
The defendant has been identified as Ghanshyam, a resident of Peeragarhi Village in Delhi and Parvez Alam (23), a resident of Budaun at Uttar Pradesh, they said.
“The police received information that Ghanshyam would supply heroin to someone near his house in Peeragarhi.
After that, the trap was put and he was arrested,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime) Chinmoy Balmal.
During interrogation, Ghanshyam, who was an electrician disclosed that he was a drug addict.
Because of his addiction, he sold his shop and even his marriage could not be resolved, police said.
Then, nature was also arrested from Budaun, police said.
The police confiscated 200 grams of heroin from Ghanshyam and 100 grams of bicycles from nature.
The drug confiscated is worth more than Rs 50 Lakh in the international market, they added.
