New Delhi: Three men were arrested for allegedly robbing RS 40,000 cash and other valuables from Delhi Police’s sub-inspectors in the Southwest Vihar Vihar Vihar area last week, police said on Wednesday.
The defendant, Mohd Israel (28) and Parvez Alam and Rhythm Parcha, both of them were 18 years old, all residents of RK Puram, were arrested and the cash robbed and other documents recovered from them, they said.
The incident took place on Saturday night when Kunal Kumar’s sub-inspector, which was posted at the Bindapur police station under the Jurisdiction of Dwarka District Police Delhi, returned home in Munirka.
In Vasant Vihar, he was allegedly intercepted by attackers who hit his head with a helmet and took his wallet and other items.
In his complaint, the alleged that he was beaten by three men who were transmitted by bicycles who threatened him and allegedly escaped from the place after taking his wallet, a senior police officer said.
Si did not sustain the injury seen since he was wearing a helmet when he was beaten, he said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Ingit Pratap Singh said that based on his complaint, we have registered a case below section 392 (for robbery) and 34 (actions carried out by several people in the continuation of general intentions) from the Criminal Code.
“With the help of technical supervision and local intelligence, the team arrested three accused.
The cash robbed, other items of the complainants and motorbikes used in the crime commission also recovered from them,” he said.
Out of the number of robbers, RS 12,000 cash, the victim’s wallet containing Delhi police ID cards, Aadhar cards, ATM cards, vehicle rCs, SIMs and voter ID cards have been restored along with cellphones worth RS 16,000 purchased from RS 16,000, according to the police .
