New Delhi: Delhi police reunite three small sisters, the oldest only 11 years old, with their families in the area of Father Nagar here after they get lost when trying to find the way home from the place of my own relatives, officials said on Sundays.
It took the police just three hours to find their home, with the help of Google images, after finding it in Wazirabad around Thursday 3 afternoon, they said.
As soon as they were told about the girls, a team consisting of Constable Shivraj heads and Vikas Concents and Tanu went and met them under the guidance of Vinod Walia’s sub-inspector assistant, police said.
The 11-year-old could notify police personnel that their house was in Father Nagar and there was a temple nearby, they said.
The team showed Google photos from several temples in Father Nagar and he recognized one of them, said a senior police officer.
“When we crossed the road in Father Nagar, the girl identified the area where she lived.
After that, a shopkeeper identified the girls and showed us their homes,” the officer said.
The team found their 35-year-old father Virendra Gupta, his wife and a son at home.
Asked about his missing daughter, he told the police that he realized it but could not find them because he had recently undergone surgery and was unhealthy, the officer said, adding the man to try to find his daughter through his relatives.
Gupta further said he came from Bihar and he sold clothes on the weekly market in the area.
He said his wife, who had previously lived in his hometown, was mentally unhealthy and recently came to Delhi along with four of their children to stay with him.
On Thursday, the couple had a fight and the man dropped his daughter to a relative house in Wazirabad because there was a lack of space in his place, police said.
As soon as he dropped him and left, the girls came out of the house without supervision and got lost trying to find the way home, the official said.
