New Delhi: A 35-year-old man died after he accidentally touched the electricity pole in South Delhi Garhi on Friday.
The deceased, identified as a mourner, worked as a laborer and lived in the Bhati Mines area of Maidan Garhan.
According to the police, they received information about a man who was electrocuted after the electricity pole at the end of Friday night.
“During the investigation, it was found that the mahender was reduced after he came into contact with the electricity pole near his house.
He rushed to AIIMS, where the doctor said he was taken dead,” said an officer.
Then on Saturday, a BS staff visited the place and cut the supply to the pole.
Relatives of Mahender, Balbir, said that rainwater had accumulated on the road on Friday.
“Mahender goes to his friend’s house when he accidentally sneaks and touches the living wire attached to the pole,” said relatively.
Residents rushed to help him but they also suffered electric shocks.
“Local residents put it out of effort to save the mahender.
He rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead,” the officer said.
