New Delhi: A 35-year-old woman allegedly raped by two people in the car in the Taman Shastri Northeast Delhi area, police said on Thursday.
The woman was taken to the city on August 16 by men with a job pretext.
They were all from Surajpur at Noida Uttar Pradesh, according to the police.
He reported the incident to the police on August 16 and based on his complaint, the two men were arrested on the same day, a officer said.
The statement of the victim was recorded and he had undergone a medical examination and counseling, he said.
Officers said that based on women’s complaints and medical examination reports, a case had been registered under the Indian Criminal Code 376 D (Gangrape) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
During the investigation, the woman appointed one of the accused and gave the police car registration number, he said.
On the basis of a car registration number, the police team traced the man, the officer said.
They have been sent to detention and the vehicle has been confiscated, he said.
