New Delhi: The Delhi government has received 3,763 applications for monthly financial assistance Rs 2,500 under Mukhyamantri Parivar Arthik Sahayta Yojana, where 1,257 has been approved and 195 rejected.
Until now, 2,311 applications have been delayed because of the verification process, objections by citizens and non-receiving responses.
Under the same scheme, launched in July to help families affected by Covid, 6,236 applications have been accepted for ex-gratia payment once a time of Rs 50,000.
Of these, 2,451 applications have been approved while 3.785 have not received the permit department.
From approved applications, payments have been made in 1,416 cases.
Among the delayed applications, many applicants do not display a list of home ministries while all documents have not been sent in several cases, the Delhi government statement said.
While one-time payment is intended for families who have lost members to Covid-19, monthly retirement is for orphans.
Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam said the Delhi government stood near a grieving family.
“The authorities have been directed at providing financial assistance to the benefits.
As directed by the Chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal, the application process is being made free so that the affected family does not have to leave the pillar to the post,” Gautam said.
“Officials who carry out on-the-spot inspections have been directed to help families whose applications are less than necessary documents.” This scheme has received 9,999 applications under both categories.
“Of this amount, 3,708 applications have been approved for providing assistance after supervision,” Gautam said.
Children who have lost parents to Covid-19 or those who have not had one of the parents and other parents have died because Corona infection will be given by Rs 2,500 per month until they are 25 years old.
An eligible person can register on the e-district portal from the Delhi government.
