At present there are around 18,000 inmates imprisoned in 16 prisons in Delhi.
Tihar’s complex just holds more than 12,000 prisoners.
“Most of the prisoners are submitted in four larger prisons, namely prisons not.
1, 3, 4 and 8/9,” the officer said.

On each ward, we plan to spread two-three cameras.” According to officers, the camera has a good resolution and can record up to seven hours.
“The camera has a recording system with a battery backup of almost seven hours,” the officer revealed.
The officer also explained that even though the prison had 7,000 CCTV cameras covering most areas in three complexes, some parts were still open.
It’s still open.
