New Delhi: Four firefighters were injured after a building collapsed because of the explosion during the fire extinguisher in the national capital on Saturday, officials said.
Delhi: The fire broke out in the paper plate manufacturing unit in Narelaa calling about fire in a factory in the Narella Outer Delhi industrial area was received at around 7:15 a.m.
and a total of 33 tenders of fire rushed to the place, said Atul Garg, Director, Delhi Fire served.
The fire was on paper plates and other items produced on the first floor of the building, he said.
During the fire department operation, there was an explosion and building collapsed as a result of a firefighter injured on his leg while the other three received burns, he said.
The injured firefighters had been taken to Gangaram Hospital for care, he added.
The factory, which has a basement, land and two floors, does not have NOC (non objection certificate), according to the fire department.
